Squeezing Homemade Orange Juice in Your Apartment
in Mount Dora, FL
There’s nothing like a
nice, hot breakfast with a glass of fresh squeezed
orange juice. Here in the heart of central Florida,
oranges are in abundance and always sold fresh,
just picked from the tree. If you want a refreshing
glass of real orange juice taste, though, try
squeezing your own orange juice in your apartment
in Mount Dora, FL. It can be a very sticky
process, but the result is definitely worth it.
Here’s how to have fresh
squeezed orange juice available in your refrigerator:
- Plug in a juicer to the outlet
closest to the kitchen sink.
- Grab some oranges, a cutting
board, a knife, and some paper towels. It takes
roughly 50 oranges to make a gallon of orange
juice.
- Slice an orange in half on
the cutting board.
- Place one half of an orange
on the juicer, and push down on it to squeeze
the juice out. The juicer will rotate to assist
in the process.
- When the first half is out
of juice, place the second half of the orange
on the juicer and push down to squeeze the juice
out.
- Repeat the previous three
steps until the juice reservoir is filled with
juice.
- Keep squeezing oranges until
you fill up your container or run out of oranges.
Pour the juice into a container, and remove
all the seeds from the juicer’s filter.
- Always clean the juicer immediately
after using it.
If you prefer grapefruit juice
or any other kind of citrus juice, the process
remains the same. For more information about our
